Teen Events and Volunteer Opportunities at Coeur d'Alene Public Library
Hi! I’m Angela Flock, the Teen Librarian at Coeur d’Alene Public Library, and this is the place where you can keep up-to-date on everything that’s happening for teens at our library. This edition covers the events and volunteer opportunities happening in October.
Here’s October’s event poster:

Teen Events & Volunteer Opportunities
We always have events that need a little help with set-up and teardown. Some are weekly clubs, and some are special events. Does one of these sound like something you’d like to attend? You can earn volunteer hours during the event if you help set-up/teardown.
Want to help? Email me by clicking on the volunteer opportunity images below.

Ukulele Club - Saturday, Oct 12 (3-4:30pm) - In the Community Room
Want to play ukulele with others? Join local ukulele enthusiast, “Birdie” (Brittany Clapp-Abdella), for a monthly community Ukulele Club. Learn to play the ukulele or just join the ukulele jam session. From 3-4pm, basic skills will be taught, such as tuning your strings, chord positions, strumming patterns, etc. From 4pm on, the gathering will become a ukulele jam session, where you can improvise or share a song you’re writing or learning. At this time, you must bring your own ukulele. Email me (cdateens@cdalibrary.org) if you’d like us to provide a uke for you. (for all-ages)
Have ukulele skills and want to help? Show up a little before and after to help set-up and teardown, and let the club leader know that you’d like to assist people during the event.

OTHER TEEN SERVICES
Think we should offer something different or have fresh ideas? Fill-out the survey at tinyurl.com/cdateensurvey23, and let your voice be heard! Share what's on your mind, and let us know what library programs and services you care about--or wish we had. Your opinion matters!
If any of the above opportunities sounds like something you’d like to do while volunteering, please let me know by emailing me at cdateens@cdalibrary.org. Or if you can think of another volunteer option that you’d like to try, let me know, and we’ll see if it’s possible.
Okay, I think that’s it from me. Feel free to stop by and say “hi” sometime.
Hope your school year is going great! See you around! :)
