ALL-AGE EVENTS TEENS CAN ATTEND
Beginning Origami - 1st Sunday, Dec 1, Jan 5 (12-1:30pm) - In the Nelson Room
Join us for an origami class! It’s perfect for beginners and welcomes all skill levels. Whether you’re new to origami or looking to connect with fellow origami enthusiasts, you’ll enjoy this monthly workshop (for ages 12+).
Ukulele Club - Saturday, Dec 14 (3-4:30pm) - In the Nelson Room
Want to play ukulele with others? Join local ukulele enthusiast, “Birdie” (Brittany Clapp-Abdella), for a monthly community Ukulele Club. Learn to play the ukulele while you play songs. At this time, you must bring your own ukulele. Email me (cdateens@cdalibrary.org) if you’d like us to provide a uke for you. (for all-ages)
Have ukulele skills and want to help? Show up a little before and after to help set-up and teardown, and let the club leader know that you’d like to assist people during the event.
Candle-making Workshop - Saturday, Dec 14 (1-3pm) - In the Community Room
A special event where you can craft beautiful, personalized candles to give as a gift or keep for your home. Bring along your own small vessels or containers—perhaps a teacup, a small jar, or any unique item you or your loved-one would cherish. If you don’t have one, don’t worry! We’ll have a delightful selection of fun vessels for you to choose from.
REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED (and was FULL at the time of this posting).
Email adultprogramming@cdalibrary.org to be put on the waitlist.
Dungeons & Dragons Guild - Friday, Dec 20 (4-7pm) - In the Community Room
Adventurers from all walks of life may participate in monthly one-shot dungeon campaigns for treasure, glory, and fellowship. Campaigns will be based on a simplified version of 2014 5th edition Dungeons & Dragons rules so that anyone can participate. Campaigns hold 3 to 4 players and will be one-shot gaming sessions that finish within 2-3 hours.
No follow-up by participants is required. Pre-made character sheets are available, but adventurers may bring their own homemade characters (3rd level only please). Please visit our website for more information. Each month will be a new adventure! Wandering adventurers are welcome but registration is encouraged to help us prepare. Adventure, gold, and glory awaits! HUZZAH! (for ages 13+)
If you’d like to help with this, email me (cdateens@cdalibrary.org) to let me know.
